The installation with Môtiers required some alteration work to make the new residence comfortable. It in particular made bore windows and timber the room giving in the court to have a more pleasant framework of work.
In addition to the writing and herborizing, a new activity was undertaken: clothes industry of laces for the young girls who committed themselves nursing their children (according to the Emile). He offered this lace to each girl of the public prosecutor of Ivernois of Neuchâtel.
