The kingdom of Norway occupies an exceptional geographical location by its very septentrional position in Europe, in the west of the Scandinavian peninsula. The territory extends in the direction of north further that no other European country, until approximately 2100 km of the Pole. Very lengthened, the country extends from north in the south on nearly 1800 km.
The Roman age of iron (0-400 apr. J. - C.) mark the beginning of contacts followed with the large surfaces of age of Mediterranean and Western Europe, to which the use of an alphabetical writing specific testifies to the Scandinavian people.
