Salmanasar I
Salmanasar I, king of approximately 1266 to 1236 approximately front J. - C. It destroyed Mitanni and extended its power until Euphrate. It was one of first kings d' Assyrie systematically to practice the massacre or the deportation of the people defeated.

Salmanasar III
Salmanasar III, king of 858 with 824 av. J. - C. It warred against Ourartou, Persians and Mèdes, made countryside in Cilicie and Phénicie, and extended its power in Syria, where it was stopped by the king of Damas and a coalition of the Aramaic princes, to which Israel belongbelonged, to the battle of Qarqar (853).
Salmanasar IV
Salmanasar IV, king of 782 with 773 av. J. - C. It was in war against Ourartou.
Salmanasar V
Salmanasar V (726 - 722 av. J. - C.). It conquered Samarie, but died in front of the town of Samarie which it besieged and which its successor Sargon II took, putting an end to the kingdom of Israel.
