German philosopher. Raise of Hegel, it published, in 1839, a Criticism of Hegelian philosophy, then, in 1841, the Gasoline of the Christianity, which raised the enthusiasm of the young German intellectuals, Marx and Engels in particular.
The truth of the religion, according to Feuerbach, is to be sought in anthropology, God being only the “alienated” idea of the powers of the man, who submits thus to an ideal that it itself produced.
