DaIgobert I Died in Saint-Denis, close to Paris, towards 639.
King of the Francs (629-639).
Oldest son of Bertrude and Clotaire II, it was crowned king d' Austrasie by his father into 623. With its majority, Dagobert escaped its tutors (Pip of Landen and Arnoul, bishop of Metz), then ousted his Caribert brother after the death of their father to be made recognize king in Burgundy and Neustrie: it is by these political operations that it reconstituted the “regnum Francorum”.

King Dagobert dedicated a worship very particular to Denis saint, and the recent excavations showed that it was at the origin of the enlarging of the oratory, built on the supposed place of the burial of the saint, as well as foundation of the Benedictine abbey. He filled it his favors and installed there monks, whom he authorized to open a market to sell their wine to with it. This market quickly became a turntable commercial with England and the countries of North, sit of the fairs of the lendit. Dagobert was the first of long series of kings to being buried in the church, become the memorial of monarchy.
Dagobert II Died into 679. King d' Austrasie (676-679).
Grandson of Dagobert I er, it was isolated succession with the throne, the death of his father Sigebert III (656), by the mayor of the Grimoald palate, son of Pip of Landen, which wanted to make reign his/her son, Childebert the Adoptee. Successor of Childebert III and victim of the Merovingian decline which worsened, it reigned under the supervision of the mayor of the Pépin palate of Herstal, grandfather of the first Carolingian king.
