Its family flees the Russian pogroms in 1911 and is established in Geneva where his/her Henri father opens a trade of cigarettes.

In 1926 it accomplishes its first voyage in Argentina, in Brazil and Cuba. It returns to Geneva in 1931 and deals with the store of his father. Thanks to acquired knowledge and its contacts with the successive governments of Cuba, Davidoff is affirmed since 1940 like the world specialist in the cigar.

Davidoff creates the first cellar humidified in Geneva to preserve the cigars in 1933. Creation of the famous range of the “Castles” in 1947, then in 1969 Davidoff NR ^O 1.2 and Ambassadresses

It joins in 1970 Ernst Schneider of the Oettinger group in Basle and thus has an international network of sale in about thirty countries.
